From 54e356019b3893f7c1e366821dee9a4b86a42040 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: David Gibson Date: Fri, 24 Jul 2015 05:26:00 +0200 Subject: [PATCH 38/58] machine: add default_ram_size to machine class Message-id: <1437715580-14817-9-git-send-email-dgibson@redhat.com> Patchwork-id: 67125 O-Subject: [RHEL7.2 qemu-kvm-rhev PATCHv3 08/28] machine: add default_ram_size to machine class Bugzilla: 1211117 RH-Acked-by: Laurent Vivier RH-Acked-by: Igor Mammedov RH-Acked-by: Laszlo Ersek Machines types can have different requirement for default ram size. Introduce a member in the machine class and set the current default_ram_size to 128MB. For QEMUMachine types override the value during the registration of the machine and for MachineClass introduce the generic class init setting the default_ram_size. Add helpers [K,M,G,T,P,E]_BYTE for better readability and easy usage Signed-off-by: Nikunj A Dadhania Reviewed-by: Thomas Huth Reviewed-by: David Gibson Acked-by: Paolo Bonzini Signed-off-by: David Gibson Signed-off-by: Alexander Graf (cherry picked from commit 076b35b5a56bca57c4aa41044ed304fe9c45d6c5) Downstream note: We actually only need the extra defines in qemu-common.h as a prerequisite here. The rest is unneeded but harmless, since we only support running qemu via libvirt, which will always override qemu's internal defaults for ram size.
