14:07:40 <doron> dcaro: thanks. anything else? phx status?
14:07:47 <danken> sbonazzo: sorry for my latency; spmprotect may restart vdsm if it fails to maintain spm status.
14:07:49 <dcaro> phx lab is still stable, so we will start adding more slaves
14:08:07 <doron> dcaro: thanks again.

14:11:09 <sbonazzo> doron: sent status to mailing list http://lists.ovirt.org/pipermail/users/2014-September/027534.html
14:11:19 <sbonazzo> doron we have a new blocker still open
14:11:27 <sbonazzo> doron on report
14:11:30 <doron> #info current 3.5.0 details: http://lists.ovirt.org/pipermail/users/2014-September/027534.html
14:11:44 <sbonazzo> doron 1142256	integration	POST	engine-setup does not write conf file to allow accessing reports
14:12:06 <sbonazzo> doron looks like we'll need to rebuild engine
14:12:27 <sbonazzo> doron: I also received questions about respinning vdsm and dwh
14:12:34 <doron> sbonazzo: and we need to see the results of today
14:12:52 <doron> sbonazzo: so we will not GA tomorrow, more likely Monday?
14:13:14 <sbonazzo> doron: yes. general feeling seems to be that the release is not ready for GA, I hope we'll be in a better shape for Monday
14:13:26 <Zordrak> sbonazzo: very very feeling
14:14:03 <sbonazzo> doron: I suggest to have a go / no go meeting on monday morning here
14:14:06 <doron> very well. We'll have to evaluate on Monday morning- if no blockers we can re-spin and GA. makes sense?
14:14:48 <sbonazzo> doron: make sense
14:15:38 <doron> #info 3.5 status: Currently one blocker still open and re-spin needed. We'll evaluate on Monday morning and if no blockers we'll re-spin and GA.
14:15:57 <doron> sbonazzo: how many bugs do we have now for 3.5.0
14:15:58 <doron> ?
14:16:14 <sbonazzo> doron: 83
14:16:34 <doron> sbonazzo: ok, all will need to move post GA.
14:16:43 <sbonazzo> doron: ok
14:16:56 <doron> We'll email the relevant teams.
14:17:00 <doron> sbonazzo: anything else?
14:17:17 <doron> (on 3.5)
14:17:34 <sbonazzo> doron: looks like there are issues with vdsm being restarted when host-deploy starts from engine on SDK call
14:18:04 <sbonazzo> doron: we're still investigating but looks like this doesn't allow to deploy hosted engine
14:18:13 <sbonazzo> doron: at least on EL7
14:18:26 <doron> sbonazzo: very well. I'll follow up on it.
14:18:34 <sbonazzo> doron: thanks
14:18:53 <doron> since testday is still ongoing we'll move to the next topic
14:19:00 <doron> #topic conferences and workshops
14:19:08 <doron> bkp: Welcome back :)
14:19:09 <bkp> That's me!
14:19:22 <bkp> Fossetcon went okay (I guess I was gone). gshereme|away did an excellent job overviewing oVirt. My only wish was that he could have had a bigger audience, but that was a problem with the confererence, not gshereme|away. Attendance was very low, and I do not think we should attend this one again.
14:19:47 <bkp> Next up is KVM Forum/oVirt Workshop. I still have heard no requests for the extra six passes Joe B. acquired for us. If non-speakers want to go and you don't have a pass already, send me your requests by Sept. 26.
14:20:04 <bkp> I *may* be speaking at OpenWorldForum on Oct. 31. Have not decided, because I will only go if I can combo the trip with OpenStack Summit the following week, which is also in Paris.
14:20:22 <bkp> LISA is coming up in early Nov. Working with gshereme|away to put together a mini-lab for attendees.
14:20:31 <gshereme> i'm here :)
14:20:39 <doron> #info conferences updates: Fossetcon went okay, gshereme|away did an excellent job over-viewing oVirt. Attendance a nit low, and we should re-consider it next year.
14:20:49 <bkp> gshereme, so you are.
14:21:06 <bkp> My oVirt talk was rejected for Linux.conf.au (boo!) but we may be hosting a Red Hat mini-conf on the Monday of the event (yay!). Details to follow.
14:21:06 <gshereme> gshereme presented a little bit of ovirt at ncdevcon this weekend. recording here: http://textiles.online.ncsu.edu/online/Play/f962e776fb0b41968c8ff1a715a8ddef1d?catalog=f3393fc7-f068-4b21-84cd-23d1cebcd014
14:21:24 <danken> rgolan: sbonazzo: very odd - could you shar emore of vdsm.log? do you have faqemu installed?
14:21:27 <doron> #info conferences updates: Next up is KVM Forum/oVirt Workshop. Still a few passes available.
14:21:28 <bkp> Finally, FOSDEM is on the horizon. itamar has put in for a virt devroom, as have about 4-5 other parties. We, as a community, need to start thinking about content for such a devroom, no matter who's organizing it.
14:21:35 <gshereme> this ncdevcon talk was more about the patternfly / frontend work we did in ovirt
14:22:22 <doron> #info conferences updates: bkp *may* be speaking at OpenWorldForum on Oct. 31. LISA is coming up in early Nov. Working with gshereme to put together a mini-lab for attendees.
14:22:52 <awels> Note that link only works if you have silverlight.... which we obviously don't have. Any useable links for linux users?
14:23:06 <doron> #info conferences updates: we may be hosting a Red Hat mini-conf on the Monday of Linux.conf.au.

14:23:35 <gshereme> awels works for in fine in chrome
14:23:42 <gshereme> *me
14:23:51 <doron> bkp: thanks!
14:23:51 <bkp> awels: Ditto for me.
14:23:58 <bkp> doron: NP
14:24:03 <doron> moving on
14:24:04 <doron> #topic other topics
14:24:14 <doron> anyone wants to raise / discuss anything?
14:24:16 <awels> gshereme: yeah, I guess firefox doesn't work...
14:24:25 <bkp> I have some general announcements...
14:24:31 <doron> bkp: go for it
14:24:37 <bkp> oVirt will be participating in the Outreach Program for Women (http://gnome.org/opw/), run by the GNOME Foundation. itamar has already approved one intern from Red Hat's pool of interns, I believe, and I will be asking the oVirt board organizations if they want to particpate as well. Given the (mostly) positive experience from Google Summer of Code, I think OPW will be an excellent experience for oVirt.
14:25:05 <bkp> The new users and supporters page I mentioned last week has undergone some revisions. I will be posting it soon (hopefully today) and announcing it on the RH community blog.
14:25:22 <bkp> I have put in a formal request for getting ovirt.org on OSAS' web designer's schedule. We need a blog (among other things) of our own. (And a planet, and version control, etc.)

14:25:39 <bkp> I have a new case study about an hour away from being finished. Will announce on the users mailing list.
14:26:01 <geekgonecrazy> So I tried installing ovirt 3.4 on Fedora 20 that didn't work. I installed on Fedora 19 (took a while to find it) Now its hung up saying "Still waiting for VDSM Host to become operational" Installed all-in-one and ran engine-setup
14:26:01 <bkp> Finally, talking to CSS in Brisbane about making a fornmal proposal to get them to work on upstream docs first.
